Typically, when a household decides to go solar, they have a long and complicated process ahead of them. First, you have to find a solar installer. Then, you have to figure out if your house gets enough sun for a system to be worth it. Lastly, you have to decide how you will pay for it. Are you going to make a large investment up front? Finance it with a loan? Commit to a 20+ year contract?
With the solar power option in the Sun & Energy Program, there’s no work on your home, and there’s no cost what so ever. Instead of building a bulky system on your roof, Sun & Energy gets the same power from a community solar farm and simply gives you a piece of it! This gets you the all the same benefits of cheap, renewable energy without any of the hassle. Additionally, solar farms that Sun & Energy buys power from, are up to 60% less expensive to construct than roof mounted solar. This directly results in added savings and environmental benefits.
